Ages 4 & 5 years. Take the fun outdoors! Soccer is an exciting sport combining- team play and individual skills. YMCA co-ed soccer promises no tryouts. Every child plays while learning the basic fundamentals of soccer through instruction, drills, and playing the game. Players will learn how to work as a team and the fundamentals of passing and shooting. Soccer is held at both Camp Lyndon and West Barnstable.
Ages 6 to 8 years. Take the next step in our Youth Soccer program! Our co-ed league allows young players to enjoy soccer in a positive and fun environment. Players will enhance their soccer skills and’ team spirit and players will learn through instruction, drills, and playing the game. Soccer is held at both Camp Lyndon and West Barnstable.
T-BALL | Ages 4-5
Your child will have fun and learn basic fundamentals of baseball through our co-ed T-Ball program. YMCA T-Ball draws the focus away from winning at all costs and instead teaches children teamwork, individual growth, and basic rules of t-ball. Players will learn the fundamentals of batting and catch using drills, and playing the game.
T-Ball is held at both Camp Lyndon and West Barnstable.
T-BALL | Ages 6-8
Foster a Red Sox fan by introducing your child to the game of baseball! This co-ed program is the next step up from the intermediate version of t-ball, where progression will be made to coaches pitching. This program promotes fair play, positive competition, family involvement and sports for all. Your child will learn baseball fundamentals such as teamwork, batting techniques, throwing form and catching. T-Ball is held at both Camp Lyndon and West Barnstable.
YOUTH BASKETBALL AT CAPE COD ACADEMY
- Training Camp: Ages 4-5 years. An introduction to the great sport of basketball. Features lowered baskets, smaller balls, and a focus on developing a sense of the game.
- Rookies: Ages 6-7 years. Develop coordination on the court and introduce the feeling of being part of a team. Lowered baskets and smaller balls are used while introducing young athletes to the basic tenants of the game.
- Pros: Ages 8-9 years. Truly develop an understanding of the rules of the game. Passing and proper form is emphasized at this level.
- All Stars: Ages 10-12 years. Emphasizing the importance of teamwork and nurturing a healthy competitive attitude while introducing children to offensive and defensive tactics. Full height baskets and full-size balls are used.
SPORTS MIX CLASSES
Children will play games and learn basic rules for activities such as Pillow Polo, Floor Hockey, Swimming, Gym games, Hip-Hop/Zumba to name a few.
For ages 5-6 year olds runs from 9:30-10:15am on Saturdays
For ages 7-8 year olds runs from 8:30-9:15am on Saturdays

Kelley’s School of Karate provides a creative approach to self-defense and self-discipline, taught by Daniel Kelley. A master instructor in the art of Tang Soo Do. Students follow a curriculum that is based on the Eight Key Concepts of Tang Soo Do, as well as the Student Creed. They are encouraged to take the teachings of self-discipline that they learn throughout their classes and apply it to their everyday lives, at school, and at home. The voluntary assistance from black belts of several other ranks provides the students with more accessibility to guidance throughout the classes.
Kids beginner classes are Tuesday 6:15-7:00 PM and Saturday 10:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Kids Advanced classes are Tuesday 7:00 – 7:45 PM and Saturday 10:45 – 11:30 AM

SPEED AND AGILITY TRAINING
Speed, footwork, and agility are important elements in high school sports in which you repeatedly accelerate and decelerate. Run on Fridays from 4-:45pm.

Come learn the basics of circuit training. Gain muscular strength and coordination while having fun in a
fast-paced workout environment. The course includes 7 classes in the Xergames room. Runs on Tuesdays from 4-5pm.

Non-Aerobic class integrating a variety of techniques in short circuit rotations. Strengthen, build and tone your upper body, lower body, and core. Runs on Tuesdays from 5-6pm.
