Swim Lessons for Youth and Adults
The purpose of the YMCA Youth and adult Aquatics Program is to help participants learn Safety Around Water, lay a good foundation of basic aquatic skill, with the hope this leads them to develop a lifelong appreciation for aquatic activities.
Adaptive Swim Lessons
Open to children with intellectual and/or physical impairments, we emphasize each child’s abilities and design a group lesson based on Safety Around Water, basic swim skills and the Y’s core values. Focusing on the development of physical and social skills, these classes are an opportunity for your child to maintain and increase physical fitness, socialize with peers and achieve success.
The Y offers private and semi-private lessons to further accommodate those looking to enhance their aquatic abilities; ranging from the most basic learn-to-swim skills to more advanced technical work. For more information please contact our private lesson coordinator at 508-362-6500 ext. 300
